Circus Skills Workshop Equipment

Our basic Circus Skills Workshops include the following Equipment which are all very low risk.

Juggling, Balls, Beanbags, Scarves and Clubs - are all used to teach hand eye co-ordination. We teach a basic cascade pattern and beyond. Beanbags and scarves are easy for the smallest hands while older and more coordinated participants learn ball and club juggling. Plate Spinning - is a popular and fairly easy skill to learn. Participants are taught the correct way to spin a plate and then progress to throws, passing, flips and other tricks. A very achievable and satisfying skill to learn.

Streetentertainers Circus Skills Equipment - Devil sticksDevil Sticks - Another chinese skill using 2 catch sticks and the devil stick itself we can teach basic throws, twists, spins and roters. A harder skill to master but very good for co-ordination skills.

Balance - we start with feathers demonstrating how to balance on fingers and hands once this has been mastered we encourage participants to progress to more difficult feats - balancing on feet Streetentertainers circus skills workshops - feather balance. Streetentertainers Circus Skills Equipment - Diabolos

Diabolos -This is one of the oldest 'toys' in existence, dating back 4000 years to China. Starting with a simple method of teaching participants to spin the diabolo we then progress to teaching tricks. Streetentertainers circus skills workshops - diabolos

We can also offer the following skills however for safety reasons they require a dedicated instructor

Tightwire - The tightwire is approx. 2 ft high by 10 ft long. Participants learn how to walk correctly and safely on the wire.

Streetentertainers Circus Skills Equipment - Tight Wire WalkingStilts - we use hand held wooden stilts and participants are taught to walk forwards, backwards & sidewaysStreetentertainers Circus Skills Equipment - Unicycles

Unicycles -Most people have seen the one wheeled bicycle and are keen to have a go - its harder then it looks but we teach the basic mount, hovers, turns & freemounts. A good team building skill as participants can work together to achieve balance.
